Welding with Process Qualification
From detail finishing to large-format projects
The final part of the manufacturing process involves the assembly and welding process, to which we have dedicated a series of advanced machinery.
Thanks to this equipment we can perform welding of elements in carbon steel and stainless steel, aluminium and special steels with MIG/MAG wire welding and TIG welding.
We have equipped our production with FRONIUS and EWM welding machines, both synergistic and manual, with calibration verification programmed in accordance with IEC 60974-14. We have an IPG LightWELD 1500 XR laser welding machine with a power output of up to 1500 W and air cooling, which allows for much faster welding, providing superior results on a wider range of materials and thicknesses compared to MIG/TIG processes, with minimal distortion and deformation as the heat input is significantly lower than traditional processes. For automated welding, we have installed manipulators and rotary table positioners and a TECNOROBOT robotic welding island.
In addition to state-of-the-art machinery, our staff is made up of highly experienced professionals in the field.
Thanks to continuous staff training and the use of welding process methodologies that comply with international requirements, we have obtained the following certifications:
• EN ISO 3834-2 (since 2012): certification for Welding Process Management.
• UNI EN 15085-2 (since 2012): certification for welding railway vehicles and their components.
• EN1090-2 EXC3 (since 2015): certification that allows the CE mark to be affixed to metal products for structural use.
Tecnolafer welders are qualified according to both the European standard EN ISO 9606-1 and the American directives ASME IX and AWS D1.1.
Our procedures guarantee the correct setup, planning, and management of welding activities: the monitoring and correct application of these procedures is entrusted to an RWC welding coordinator and his DWC delegate.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is carried out by internal inspectors, qualified with Level II for VT and PT inspections, or through accredited external bodies for MT, UT and RT inspections.
Finally, we perform Leak Tests or Hydrostatic Tests on pipes and tanks up to 10bar as well as mechanical tests through specialized and accredited laboratories.
From finishing details to large-scale projects.

From the finishing of details to large format projects. A series of advanced machinery is dedicated to the assembly and welding process.

2D laser cutting is the essential process for a quality product. We have set up 4 fiber optic laser systems to handle projects of all sizes.

Sheet metal press-bending with latest-generation machinery. Thanks to our systems, we can take on large-scale work for various sectors.

3D laser cutting for tubes and profiles of any type of geometry. The entire system is integrated and connected with the industrial planning and optimization model used by Tecnolafer.

Product industrialization with 3D prototyping. Each phase of the project is outlined and monitored by the Technical Office.

Mechanical assembly of machinery and systems, from semi-finished products to complete systems. Specialized technicians manage all the final stages of production, up to start-up.
